Chloe Illsley

Child Wellbeing Researcher

Chloe is graduating this year with a BA Hons in Childhood Studies at Sheffield Hallam University. Her early career has already seen some incredible achievements. In 2024, Chloe won the Global Impact Award at the Sheffield Hallam Inspirational Students Awards event for her impactful work last year. Chloe travelled abroad and worked with a wide range of international schools where SEND children were getting little to no support. Chloe volunteered and was posted to Mauritius where she grouped together with her peers to buy much needed supplies. She has since been fundraising to continue supporting a Mauritian preschool. Chloe has also worked as a Health Advisor for DHU Healthcare, and is drawn to the health and education sector. When she is not travelling or studying, Chloe is a fitness enthusiast and loves spending time with friends and family. At the Mortality Alliance, Chloe is helping with our research into child wellbeing in the end of life and bereavement sector, and we’re super excited to see how her work develops in this space.
