York’s Dead Good Festival takes place each year in May, to coincide with Dying Matters Awareness Week, with the aim of encouraging people to be more open about dying, death and bereavement. The festival encourages people to express themselves in different ways, whilst giving advice and support on a number of practical matters. Events throughout York include performances, informative talks, crafts, discussions, and more, many of which are free.
